Job description

Our Foreman manage and maintain the company and support companies' vehicle maintenance programs. This will include such responsibilities as but not limited to: Supervise a work force of four to fourteen employees, Maintain the equipment maintenance schedule based on the L.T.O (latest time out) status provided by the M.L.C (Maintenance Load Coordinator, Monitor / Schedule warranty maintenance with the appropriate dealerships. Provide support and knowledge to employees inquiring about job duties and responsibilities. Assist with the repair of equipment when needed. Responsible for all shop desk maintenance duties and obligations, maintain and provide a safe and friendly work environment to all employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the scheduling of vehicle maintenance and safety inspections to meet DOT (department of transportation) requirements and inspections.
Produce and send daily reports to include production reports, sold vehicle reports, vehicle status and estimated time of completion.
Train employees and check on progress of newly trained employees. Answer questions and advise mechanics on repair procedures and proper methods of maintenance. Train company drivers on TCU (temperature control unit) operation/ maintenance and truck operation/maintenance. Present shop safety training to employees.
Trailer shop foreman will check TCU (temperature control unITS) trailers to make sure they are operating properly to ensure that product is protected.
Call and place orders for fuel, pickup of scrap metals and refuse, and any additional outside vendor needs. Communicate with other company department personnel in regards to fleet maintenance operations.
Maintain and submit employee and payroll records to include: time adjustments, absentee reports, overtime reports, work schedules, employee performance reviews and suggested merit increases. Implement progressive discipline and enforce company policies.
