What you will be doing:
  • Establishes and monitors operational procedures for activity such as verification/validation of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, current warehouse inventory sync with AOS system and timely variance reporting.
  • Applies regulatory, judicial, international and /or Customs and Border Protection decisions/views to products being classified.
  • Meets with client, AOS and/or government officials to review FTZ product lines
  • Prepares various reports which assist in daily operations such as: upcoming FTZ related inbounds, daily item variances between Synapse and AOS systems and other reports as identified.
  • Prepares reports such as weekly/monthly/quarterly FTZ data reporting
  • Manages and trains other employees on FTZ requirements and procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensures high level of customer satisfaction by communicating frequently with customers and following up on customer concerns and requests.
  • Ensures safe operation of the warehouse including meeting company standards for sanitation, maintenance, security and housekeeping.
  • Ensures adequate staffing, training, coaching and counseling for employee.
  • Reports employees' hours worked to payroll on a weekly basis
  • Ensures ISO compliance, where applicable
  • Manages subordinates by interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining.
  • Directs, coordinates, and evaluates assigned unit(s) by carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Ensures the profitability of the account/warehouse as applicable.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training
  • Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
