Job description

The Journeyman Electrician will primarily engage in commercial electrical projects, collaborating daily with a medium-sized team of 6 to 10 members. This role requires adherence to safety standards and code compliance while interpreting blueprints and installing electrical wiring. The position offers opportunities for growth into lead electrician roles as well as advancement through training and certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Install wiring according to blueprints and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Follow safety procedures rigorously on all job sites
  • Collaborate effectively within a medium-sized team
  • Travel daily between commercial job sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical work
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in electrical wiring and blueprint reading
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety compliance
