  • Minimum 3-5 years of fine dining experience in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment required.
  • Prior experience in a Forbes Travel Guide or Michelin-recognized property strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and upscale dining service techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required (additional languages a plus).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and poise.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
    Position Summary
    The Fine Dining Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional, personalized, and anticipatory dining experience consistent with Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star standards and The Setai's luxury service philosophy. This role requires extensive fine-dining experience, impeccable service etiquette, deep menu and beverage knowledge, and the ability to create memorable guest experiences through flawless execution and refined hospitality.
    Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm, genuine, and anticipatory service to all guests, exceeding expectations at every touchpoint.
  • Maintain a refined and professional demeanor at all times, embodying The Setai's culture of elegance and discretion.
  • Greet guests promptly, escort them to their tables when required, and ensure proper seating, napkin placement, and menu presentation.
  • Deliver detailed menu presentations, including ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and dietary accommodations.
  • Anticipate guest needs and preferences, offering personalized recommendations and seamless service throughout the dining experience.
  • Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and urgency, escalating when necessary.
    Food & Beverage Knowledge
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of food, wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic offerings.
  • Confidently guide guests through wine selections, pairings, and premium beverage offerings.
  • Properly execute fine-dining service sequences, including coursing, wine service, tableside preparations, and clearing techniques.
  • Accurately input orders into the POS system, ensuring proper timing and communication with the kitchen and bar teams.
    Service Standards & Forbes Compliance
  • Adhere strictly to Forbes Travel Guide standards, brand SOPs, and departmental service guidelines.
  • Maintain impeccable table settings, cleanliness, and presentation throughout service.
  • Follow all service etiquette protocols, including proper tray handling, plate presentation, and silent service techniques.
  • Participate in Forbes training, departmental meetings, and ongoing service development.
    Operational Responsibilities
  • Perform opening and closing side work as assigned.
  • Ensure assigned stations are fully stocked, clean, and properly set prior to service.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Support team members as needed to ensure smooth and consistent service flow.
