Job description

We are in need someone who we can train to fit in our office puzzle! The position offered is part-time for a high school student or you adult interested in starting a career in the insurance Industry.. Based on performance, the position can lead to a full-time position as a licensed Insurance Agent. Our Customer Service Representative needs to exceed customer service standards to current clients while also assisting prospects as they call in. This position is the stepping stone to the Insurance agent position for a person who wants to gain experience working in an office atmosphere. Must be able to work at least 4-5 days a week 5-6 hours a day minimum and possibly 1-2 Saturdays a month.

If interested in moving up as a license insurance agent. We will assist with the cost of getting licensed in P&C and Life and Health. Once licensed. An increase in pay and possible commission will be considered.


No prior experience is necessary. However, must be serious in committing to the training. Position is for a highschool student wanting to work part-time and gain office work experience. Opportunity for growth within the company and increase in pay based on performance.

Responsibilities
  • Verify phone numbers, addresses, email addresses with each customer contact and update customer information.
  • Answer incoming phone calls on the first few rings and inform agent or supervisor of customer's request.
  • Schedule appointments for sales staff to meet prospective customers..
  • Call potential leads for quotes and gather information for quotes
  • Respond to customers request in policy changes and payments
  • File paperwork and create new customer files
  • Perform any other task requested by Supervisor

Requirements
  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Willing to read and train to be an excellent customer service representative
  • Driven and goal-oriented individual.
  • Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Type at least 45 wpm or accomplish a goal within 1 month
  • Must be able to write with correct punctuation
  • Dress professional for an office atmosphere
