As a RN Clinical Supervisor You will:   

  • Review new patient referrals and determine care needs; assign appropriate hospice staff.
  • Support and guide clinical staff through home visits, case reviews, and real-time consultations.
  • Help develop patient care plans, set treatment goals, and prioritize care.
  • Lead and participate in team case conferences to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Conduct regular chart audits and provide feedback for quality improvement.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical team members.
  • Support staff development and continuing education programs.
  • Assist in policy development and uphold professional care standards.
  • Engage in community outreach and promote the hospice’s mission and services.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with current, unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of operation.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
Previous experience in hospice or home care setting required.
Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
Current CPR certification, maintained in accordance with organizational policy.
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured per state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order.
Proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
Demonstrates excellent observation, nursing judgment, and communication skills—both verbal and written.
Understands the hospice philosophy and the emotional, clinical, and ethical considerations surrounding end-of-life care.
Knowledge of pain and symptom management principles.
Adheres to accepted professional standards and practices.
Commitment to clinical excellence and thorough documentation.
