Job Title: Dishwasher & Operations Support / Heart of House Team Member

About Us

At John’s Food and Wine, named Food & Wine magazine’s Restaurant of the Year, we pride ourselves on running a clean, efficient, and supportive kitchen. We operate as a close-knit team where every role is essential to our success and every team member is valued.

The Role

As a core part of our culinary operations, you keep the restaurant running smoothly through daily dish care and overall facility maintenance. Because every team member directly impacts our operation, gratuity and service fees are pooled and distributed using an equitable point system that rewards reliability, effort, and teamwork.

What You'll Do

  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the restaurant through routine deep cleaning projects and facility upkeep (e.g., equipment maintenance, deep scrubbing, station detailing).

  • Keep dish pit, prep areas, kitchen workspaces, and storage zones clean, dry, and safe.

  • Assist with basic kitchen organization, trash removal, stocking supplies, and end-of-night closing cleanups.

  • Work collaboratively with cooks and support staff to keep the kitchen and facility in top shape.
