Summary:

The Warehouse Manager has the overall responsibility of managing the Shipping and Receiving Departments at the Hebron Klosterman Bakery โ€“ KBO.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the Shipping and Receiving Departments are appropriately staffed, organized and aligned and aligned to meet food safety and company objectives. The Warehouse Manager will operate the Shipping and Receiving Departments with the company goals of safe and quality food while achieving the financial goals of the Hebron Klosterman Baking Company โ€“ KBO.

Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Manager ensures the shipping and receiving departments are appropriately staffed, organized and aligned to meet food safety and quality objectives. The Warehouse Manager has the overall responsibility of both inbound and outbound shipments at the Hebron Klosterman Bakery โ€“ KBO. In addition, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining and communicating appropriate inventory levels of trays on hand at the facility to applicable personnel.
  • Ensuring all outbound shipments are correctly loaded and match load sheets and Bills of Lading (BOL).
  • Indicating code use through changes based on product orders.
  • Regular facilitation of pre-shift meetings with the shipping and receiving teams.
  • Approving shipping and receiving personnel payroll based on employee time cards.
  • Ensuring production product counts are accurate based on current customer orders.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving appointments at the facility to maximize shipping and receiving of materials and finished products.
  • Ensuring all trailers are effectively sealed with security seals prior to shipment.
  • Ensuring all inbound shipments are sealed appropriately to protect against intentional adulteration.
  • Ensuring appropriate scheduling of bulk ingredient deliveries and maintaining bulk ingredient inventories in order to meet the production needs of the facility.
  • Ensuring effective allergen segregation of ingredients and raw materials during ingredient storage and handling.
  • Oversight of the Warehouse Management System.
  • Regular attendance to the following plant and company meetings:
    1. Safety Meetings
    2. Quality Council and Food Safety Team Meetings as required
    3. Staff Meetings
    4. Frozen Inventory Distribution Meetings
    5. Any other site specific or Klosterman Baking Company corporate meetings

  • Verification of this job description will be conducted by the Site Leader through daily observations of job tasks and functions.

Training:

  • Training on this job description will take place initially upon hire, annually, as a refresher, and as needed with changes to personnel and job functions.

Records:

  • Employee training records are retained per Klosterman Baking Company record retention requirements.
