Job description

Position Purpose & Summary

Garden of the Gods Club and Resort is looking for a Salon/Hair Stylist to provide professional hair care services such as haircuts, coloring, conditioning, hair styling, and other treatments.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide services associated with hair and salon business.
  • Greet and welcome members and guests to the Spa/Salon.
  • Communicate clearly with members, guests and spa staff to achieve desired results.
  • Performs all support tasks associated with providing services assigned (set-ups and break down of treatment rooms, stocking and inventory of supplies, stocking and removal of linen, etc.)
  • Performing hair care treatments, such as coloring, haircuts, conditioning, hair styling, etc. using scissors, dyes, treatments, etc.
  • Performs all assigned/scheduled services and tasks using provided protocols and timeliness.
  • Providing after care guidelines to clients.
  • Assist in the overall smooth operation of the Spa by maintaining orderliness and cleanliness of the workplace, and effective communication amongst coworkers.
  • Creating a database of frequent clients.
  • Assist members and guests with questions regarding the Spa and the Club.
  • Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
  • Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction.

Position Requirements:

  1. Minimum Knowledge & Skills: 2 years experience in resort, club, or day spa experience
  1. Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: High School graduate
  1. License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: State of Colorado Cosmetology and Barber License

External and Internal Personal Contact:

  1. Communications:
    • Daily – Communicate with Spa Concierge and Spa Management daily
    • Weekly – Spa and Salon Management
    • Occasionally – Participate in one-on-one coaching sessions.
  1. Teamwork and Collaboration: This position requires continuous teamwork as well as internal and cross-departmental communication.
