Job Title: Food Service Operations Rep

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: Rotating - (with every other weekend commitment)

Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Maryland

Position Purpose:

  • The Food Service Operations Rep assembles, prepares, serves, and delivers trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, floors and other customers or clients.

As a "Food Service Operations Rep" you will:

  • Attends to patient, nursing and/or other customer food service and related requests, needs or requirements in a friendly, cheerful, patient and customer-focused manner.

  • Collects trays and other items for transport to Food Service.

  • Assists in the sanitation of the entirety of the department including, but not limited to pots, dish room, trash, floors and special cleaning as assigned.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent four years of work-related experience.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously via telephone, in person or in writing.

  • Ability to read, comprehend and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is desired.

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.

  • Ability to use common sense in carrying out written and oral instructions and solving problems.

  • Ability to use kitchen, trayline and warewashing equipment.

Pay Range: $17.65 - $21.63

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
