This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the stewardship of cultural, historical, and social treasures that define Newport’s rich heritage. As a team member, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional visitor experiences while supporting the preservation efforts of this renowned organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service to visitors at The Breakers Welcome Center Cafe 
  • Assist guests with inquiries, ticketing, and information about the properties and exhibits
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food service area
  • Handle cash register operations and process transactions accurately
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively
  • Support special events and programs as needed

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Professional demeanor with a friendly and approachable attitude
  • Flexibility to work a mixture of weekdays and weekends, up to 30 hours per week
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

  • High School Degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
