As an EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Specialist at Brothers Desserts you are the champion that focuses our efforts to achieve the safety mission. The right candidate for this role will be a problem solver who influences people and process to ensure we meet our goals and reduce risk to our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and local regulations
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Support EHS programs (LOTO, PPE, hazard communication, waste management, etc.)
  • Investigate incidents, root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Support regulatory inspections and thirdparty audits
  • Promote continuous improvement and a strong safety culture by leading Safety committee, SLTs (Safety Learning team)

Required Skills

  • Advanced understanding of EHS, manufacturing, and regulatory practices
  • Hazard analysis and riskassessment skills
  • Excellent communication, coaching and training abilities
  • Incident investigation and rootcause analysis
  • Data tracking, report writing, and documentation accuracy
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing regulations (FDA, FSMA, GMPs)
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally with production, QA, HR and maintenance teams

Qualifications

  • 2โ€“3 years of EHS experience, preferably in food manufacturing or similar regulated environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA/FSMA, and GMP standards
  • Strong communication, training, and problemsolving skills
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Bilingual Preferred: English/Spanish

  • OSHA 30 (General Industry or Construction)
  • Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • HACCP
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
  • First Aid/CPR
