Food Safety Quality Assurance Tech


Location: INDIANA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY - 59488001

Workdays/shifts: Varying shifts, days/hours, and rotating weekends. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour - $21.00 per hour

What You'll Do:As a Food Safety Quality Assurance Tech at Sodexo, you are a safety champion and customer protector. Your attention to quality and safety makes an impact on customers' everyday lives.


Responsibilities include:

  • Create, update, maintain, and monitor the food safety and quality plans and associated programs at the Sodexo facility.
  • Support the Food Safety Quality Assurance team to achieve compliance with policy, standard operating practices, regulatory standards, and business goals across the facility.
  • Train FSQAT, Operations, Maintenance, and other cross-functional supervisors and hourly frontline employees annually and when changes occur to the Food Safety Plan.
  • Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.


What You Bring:

  • Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Food Science, Biology, or Chemistry, or equivalent food industry experience
  • Certified FSMA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), HACCP, GMP, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)
  • Strong understanding of the FDA regulations, Food Safety Modernization Act, Foreign Supplier Verification Programs, Sanitation SOP development and implementation, and GMPs
  • Previous experience in a technical role - SAP experience preferred
  • 2 - 3 years' experience in the food industry preferred
  • Spanish speaking bilingual skills preferred
