Job Description
We are seeking a motivated R&D Chemist to join our Edwardsville, KS laboratory team. This role is ideal for both experienced chemists and recent college graduates who are eager to build technical expertise and grow within a supportive, fast-paced environment.
Our Energy Cure Laboratory is backed by a strong technical foundation, with many team members bringing over 20 years of experience with INX International. INX is a leading provider of energy-curing technologies for key markets such as low-migration inks and coatings for packaging. As an R&D Chemist, you will contribute directly to the advancement of these technologies.
We offer a collaborative culture, hands-on training, and opportunities for autonomy. Team members also engage with customers and may travel occasionally to support internal and external partners.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and support existing technologies, including assisting with customer-driven challenges
  • Develop new energy-curing technologies based on customer and market needs
  • Evaluate raw materials and optimize formulations for performance and cost efficiency
  • Provide technical support to plant operations
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for customers and the sales team
  • Maintain and ensure proper operation of laboratory equipment

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related discipline
  • Strong math and science proficiency
  • Accurate and organized recordkeeping skills
  • Effective written, verbal, and reading-comprehension skills
  • Ability to interpret data and draw sound technical conclusions
  • Color vision proficiency is essential for this role

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of energy-curing printing processes (UV/LED flexographic, offset, or coatings)
  • Five years of relevant industry experience
  • Formulation experience in inks or coatings
  • SAP experience
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation such as GC/MS, FTIR,
