Food Quality Assurance Coordinator

Description

Summary
This position will assist and report to the Quality Assurance Lead Coordinator with the daily requirements of overseeing all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures from a federal, state, and local municipality. The candidate will verify quality control, procedures, documentation, solve QA|QC issues, and assist with compliance agencies through internal audits of Cotton Logistics and Culinary job sites.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal audits for projects, company facilities, and assets.
  • Review and recognize deviations in internal audits.
  • Develop onsite training programs to mitigate compliance concerns.
  • Develop, maintain, and update all records, manuals, training procedures on multiple locations.
  • Provide insights on jobsites to identify, evaluation, and control of hazards.
  • Complete site walk throughs with clientele, government agencies, contractors, and other operational entities.
  • Regularly monitor and assess quality control processes.
  • Document and report any quality related problems.
  • Communicate with operations regarding quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with cross functional QA team to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Be available during specified on-call periods to address urgent quality issues that may arise outside regular working hours.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Associate of General Sciences Degree (Food Nutrition, Animal Science, Food Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science etc.), or equivalent.
  • Relative work experience of 1-2 years in a quality assurance or related field role.
  • Food manager certificate, preferred.
  • Must be familiar with regulatory requirements including HACCP, FDA, USDA, and CDC guidelines.
  • Prior HACCP Certification, preferred.
  • Travel - 80-85% - potentially on a rotation, working weekends, etc.
  • 1-2 years of auditing or compliance management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, and performance/operation metrics.
  • Experience with problem-solving, decision-making while being detail and execution oriented.
  • Certifications related to Quality Assurance or Quality Control.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using relevant Microsoft Office software tools for data analysis, documentation, and reporting (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Able to work in environments that will require juggling multiple concepts and projects.
  • Possess the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain quality standards.
  • Professional integrity and works with a positive attitude.
  • Able to collaboratively work with others in achieving desired results.
