Job description

LOCATION: Amphi Corps – 218 E. Prince Road, Tucson AZ

STATUS: PT/ 26 Hours Per Week/Non Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must become CPR/First Aid/AED certified
  • Working knowledge of computers MS Word/Excel
  • Outgoing personality
  • Work well with youth
  • Good Communication & organizational skills
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License
  • Successful background clearance

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the supervision of program participants
  • Provide guidance in after-school, summer day camp, teen and troop programs
  • Assist with kitchen duties, preparation, serving and warming food as needed
  • Assist in daily clean up in assigned work area
  • Assist with various fund-raising events throughout the year
  • Assist in securing of facility upon completion of programs or activities
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment/property for all program participants
  • Effectively enforce all center rules, regulations and policies, maintaining proper conduct
  • Participate in weekly meetings to discuss program planning, accomplishments, concerns
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor as it relates to the position of Program Aide

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate a telephone or a desktop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
