Job description

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized engineering firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth of its Food and Beverage Group. As a result, we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Process Engineer. This position will work out of our West Allis, WI (Milwaukee area) office.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing, installing, and start-up of innovative process solutions for our clients' unique manufacturing challenges.
  • Performing:
    • Mass and energy balances
    • Hydraulic calculations
    • Pump sizing
    • Hygienic piping system design
    • CIP route definition
  • Utilizing AutoCAD software for P&ID development
  • Equipment selection
  • Development of project specifications
  • Leading client meetings
  • Holding contractor pre-bid meetings and walkthroughs
  • Completing periodic construction inspections
  • Onsite commissioning of process systems
  • Travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical, chemical or related field from an accredited college or university and at least four years of relevant engineering design experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following:
  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams
  • Process system layout and 3-D drafting
  • Utility system design for food processing facilities or other similar industrial/ pharmaceutical facilities
  • Packaging line performance specifications and layout
  • Developing detailed functional descriptions and I/O lists
  • Opportunity identification and development
  • Professional engineering license
