The Role:

The Food Safety Supervisor ensures a sustainable, safe, clean, and functional environment in the CookUnity Commissary.

About You:

  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrates versatility and ability to maintain multiple tasks.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensures the operations of CookUnity Commissary follows the King County and Washington State Department of Health Food Safety requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with the HACCP plan and maintains logs.
  • Manages the receiving, cooking, cooling and packing processes to ensure compliance with HACCP plan.
  • Reports/tracks any significant deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action as necessary to management.
  • Establishes and presents regular training sessions for the quality control team and fulfillment employees on safety issues.
  • Participates in new product development to ensure proper food safety control plans can be implemented.
  • Oversees the fulfillment process related to food safety.
  • Maintains problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing concerns/issues.
  • Participates as an active member in GMP/HACCP, safety, and process development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Food Operations Experience:

  • Experience managing food operations with a proven track record within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience leading a diverse team.
  • Experience executing a HACCP plan
  • State/Local Food Safety Certification; (ie. HACCP Manager, PCQI, )
  • High level of experience and knowledge of food safety requirements

Management Experience:

  • Must possess solid business acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to think strategically.
  • Motivates and inspires the team to achieve the goals, to strive for excellence and constant desire to improve and drive their business.
  • An excellent communicator that is comfortable communicating with different levels of co-workers and managers within the store and organization.
  • Ability to accept full accountability for the performance of your team and a proven track record of achieving business directives.
