We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing Miami, FL Team!

Responsibilities:
  • Performs daily food safety tasks such as pre-operational, operational, and post-operational checks, temperature monitoring, cooler/freezer inspections, thermometer calibration, sanitizer checks, and oversight of third-party cleaning company activities.
  • Answers inquiries regarding food safety procedures; reinforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) through routine floor inspections and self-audits.
  • Reports non-compliance issues to FS/QA supervisor, FS/QA Manager, and Department Manager, ensuring prompt corrective actions.
  • Conducts regular traceability audits, laboratory collections, and swabs for testing.
  • Ensures adherence to local, state, federal, and international environmental, health, and food safety regulations to uphold quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Assists in customer audits, health department inspections, training sessions, and consultations, ensuring staff compliance with relevant standards.
  • Performs microbiological testing including in-house ATP testing and environmental swabbing.
  • Assists with pest control management and conducts regular facility audits for cleanliness, including bathroom inspections and swab testing. Ensures proper chemical stock levels in designated departments (e.g., porters, dish room).
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as directed by FS/QA supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food processing, hospitality, or a high-paced catering establishment with floor monitoring.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Possesses proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Displays exceptional organizational and detail-oriented capabilities.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance principles.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, ISO, and food safety systems is advantageous.
  • Possesses a Food Safety Certification, such as Safe SERV training.
  • Preferred certification in HACCP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Collaborates effectively with individuals across various functions. Works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment. Exhibits self-motivation, a professional work ethic, and a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
