Description

Job Title: Production Worker / Processing Worker  

Minimal Experience Required - Training Provided

Spanish-speaking individuals are encouraged to apply

Location: Wayland, MI

Schedule: Full-Time | Hourly

Monday - Friday
1st Shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; occasional weekly overtime available (up to 5 hours/week) 

2nd Shift - 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM until training is completed; afterward, the schedule will change to 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM 

Pay: $17 - $20/hour - performance/attendance-based pay increases after initial 90 days of employment

About Nutrition 101: Nutrition 101 is an industry leader in recovering food waste and converting it into valuable livestock feed. Based in Pendleton, Indiana, our team helps food processors reduce waste while supporting sustainable agriculture. Every year, our work helps recover millions of tons of food byproducts and transform them into useful products for livestock producers.

We are growing and looking for dependable team members who enjoy hands-on work in a production environment.

What You'll Do: As a Production Worker, you will help process and prepare materials used in our production operations.


Key responsibilities include:

Unload food waste materials and prepare them for processing

Remove packaging from products as part of the de-packaging process

Clean containers and equipment used in production

Operate basic equipment used to organize materials for processing

Move materials to appropriate storage areas

Prepare semi-trailers for return to customer sites

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow all safety and sanitation procedures

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or general labor roles preferred

Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures

Strong work ethic and reliable attendance

Ability to lift 40-75 pounds

Ability to work in environments that may be hot, noisy, or dusty

Team-oriented and dependable

Reliable transportation to/from work location
