Job Title: Processing Supervisor
Department: Processing
Location: Moses Lake, WA
Reports To: Processing Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: 80.2k - 87k Yearly Salary
Job Summary
The Processing Supervisor plays a pivotal role in supervising and coordinating processing operations, directly contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of plant operations. This position supports the Processing Manager in leadership initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing plant operations, employee training, and performance.
Essential Job Functions
  • Assist the Processing Manager in daily operations, including washing, grading, and packaging eggs.
  • Ensure efficient workflow, labor utilization, and monitor production metrics such as yield and downtime.
  • Maintain compliance with USDA, FDA, and company standards for quality, food safety, and workplace safety.
  • Train, coach, and mentor processing staff, including scheduling, task assignments, and performance feedback; may have responsibility for personnel actions including recruitment, hiring, promotion, performance management, discipline, and termination in alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Identify equipment malfunctions, coordinate repairs, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the processing area.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to boost efficiency, product quality, and team performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in multiple processing roles, with at least 2 years of experience in a lead, supervisor, or manager role.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work in various climate conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the poultry or large-scale animal agriculture industry.
  • Familiarity with USDA or other regulatory agencies.
  • Previous experience in a food processing facility.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
