We're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer for a full-time opportunity based in Somerville, MA. This role is with a rapidly growing venture-backed technology startup developing AI-powered industrial automation solutions for the manufacturing sector. You'll work directly with enterprise customers, deploying cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies that leverage AI, IoT, sensors, cloud connectivity, and real-time data analytics to optimize production processes across food and beverage manufacturing facilities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 1+ years of manufacturing or factory floor experience
  • Experience within food & beverage, chemicals, brewing, dairy, pharmaceutical, or other process manufacturing industries
  • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
  • Experience supporting industrial automation or manufacturing systems
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Experience working with IT/OT environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
