Regional Sales Engineer
Fulltime Direct hire Remote Position
As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for sales growth, gross profit and positive customer relationships for specified major/key accounts. We are seeking aggressive, enthusiastic, and determined sales representatives who can professionally represent our products while building, strengthening, and enhancing relationships at major/key accounts.
This is a West Reginal sales position for the following States: Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
The ideal candidate will live in this territory or have the ability to relocate to the region.
Job Functions
  • This is a Salaried/Commission plus car allowance or mileage and cell phone.
  • Professionally represent the product line of industrial washing and sanitizing equipment to multiple business units of large food processing companies.
  • Ability to network with multiple business units/divisions of food processing plants, such as Research and Development, Engineering, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Procurement/Purchasing.
  • Share best sales practices with other washing equipment specialists within the organization.
  • Actively involved and engaged with industry associations and trade events.
  • Prepare status reports and sales reports and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
  • Help to facilitate quotations, product samples and deliveries.
  • Work closely with field service team to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with and develop a network of distribution partners for certain product segments in respective territory ' partners may overlap other territories.
  • Knowledge of Strategic Account management best practices preferred but not needed.
  • Utilize customer service and negotiation skills to close deals.
  • Use CRM software and update database regularly.
  • Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.
  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
  • Diagnose problems with installed equipment.
  • Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, documenting how such changes will lower costs or increase production.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Position requires 60-75% annual travel within territory and attending sales meetings; must maintain a valid driver's license in good standing.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering discipline or at least 5 years related sales experience is required.
  • Direct experience selling capital equipment to the food industry is mandatory. Strong preference for experience in the washing and sanitizing equipment industries.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling capital equipment to food processing manufacturers. Knowledge of capital expenditure justification, Total Operating Cost and ROI.
  • Position is remote, must reside in the United States, in the region being considered for this role.
  • Prior experience calling on major accounts within the food processing industry.
  • Aggressive, enthusiastic, and determined individual with a proven track record of success.
  • Understands the importance of selling equipment with the added service component and working closely with service team.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task without supervision. Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and activities to optimize sales productivity.
