Pay: $17-$18/hour
Job Type: Part-Time (8-10 hrs/week) - Wednesdays only
We are looking for a motivated and efficient Savory Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role involves preparing a variety of savory dishes, assisting in food preparation, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring all ingredients are ready for service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Collaboration: Work efficiently with teammates in a professional manner to ensure smooth operations in the kitchen.
  • High-Paced Environment: Maintain an organized approach while working quickly and effectively in a busy kitchen.
  • Sanitation & Cleanliness: Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, equipment, and customer seating areas, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene.
  • Stocking & Restocking: Lift and restock supplies, and assist with unloading weekly deliveries to ensure the kitchen is always well-stocked.
  • Recipe Adherence: Follow recipes accurately, ensuring each step is completed to perfection for consistent food quality.
  • Order Preparation: Read and interpret order slips, preparing savory dishes as directed with attention to detail.
  • Equipment Use: Safely demonstrate and use kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, fryers, and other necessary tools for food preparation.
  • Dishwashing & Cleaning: Perform light dishwashing duties and clean up your work area after preparing food.
  • Food Labeling & Rotation: Wrap, label, and date food items, adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) food rotation practices to ensure freshness.
  • Team Support: Be a helpful and positive coworker, supporting team members and contributing to an overall positive work environment.

Additional Tasks: Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
