Job description

Structural Designer

Unicorr Packaging Group, a family-owned leading manufacturer of corrugated and protective packaging, seeks a self-motivated and highly energetic experienced Packaging Designer in our Bensalem, PA. Design Center. 

Position Summary

The Designer will be responsible for developing creative, eye-catching, cost-effective, and structurally sound packaging solutions that optimize our core technologies. The position will require you to work very closely with our sales team, production team and customer base all while maintaining the very highest level of professionalism and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Create proof of concept prototypes to support existing products, new product launches, and line extensions that push our customer’s expectations and supports their business development goals;
  • Provide technical support to the sales team, customer service, and production ensuring successful integration and implementation of customer orders.
  • Create multi out drawings to maximize production efficiencies.
  • Create or facilitate 3D renderings of packages and displays.
  • Stay current with software updates, industry standards, and technology developments.
  • Facilitate ISTA testing in conjunction with our test lab.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Graphics and industrial design background.  Must have corrugated experience.
  • Effective internal and external communication skills including oral, written, presentation and active listening

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-6 years structural/industrial package design experience strongly preferred
  • A working knowledge of MS Office, ArtiosCAD, Kongsberg Cutting Table, and Cape Pack Palletization software and 3D rendering skills. Sketching ability is a plus.
