Job description

Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Food Operations Manager to lead retail dining and concession operations at Pittsburg State University, located in Pittsburg, KS. This key leadership position is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple retail dining venues and athletic/event concessions, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial performance. The Operations Manager will oversee staffing, training, scheduling, inventory management, food safety compliance, merchandising, and customer service initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with university stakeholders and Sodexo leadership to enhance the campus dining experience through innovation, responsiveness, and operational efficiency. This role is accountable for achieving revenue and profitability goals, managing food and labor costs, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring all retail and concession locations operate safely and effectively. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in building a best-in-class dining program that supports student engagement, campus pride, and the overall mission of the university.
