We are looking for an energetic experienced Production Manager to come lead our second shift team in our NC location. The Production Supervisor is responsible for driving major ready-to-cook/ready-to-eat production goals, meeting scheduling demands, coordinating activities with supporting shifts and departments; training, supervising personnel to achieve the highest levels of performance with a positive work environment. Ensure the highest levels of quality of product is ready in a timely manner for shipping to meet customer needs and expectations.

Required hours

  • Monday – Thursday 5p – 3:30a

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise 20+ hourly employees on night shift, working 5pm – 3:30am
  • Responsible for ensuring that production output is maximized through planning, utilization of people, and effective management of process and packaging equipment.
  • Responsible for working closely with QA to ensure that quality procedures and GMP’s are followed.
  • Responsible to make sure employees are adequately trained in their areas, understand their responsibilities and are held accountable for their actions.
  • Drive lean initiatives with established KPIs to increase productivity, reduce waste and downtime.
  • Always ensure the highest safety standards for team and company.
  • Drive schedule completion daily with review of all production paperwork and ensure its complete at the end of each shift.
  • Execute all procedures and policies that are put in place to reach company objectives.
  • Responsible for the Housekeeping of the assigned work area.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance, schedule and recordkeeping are followed

accordingly.

  • Ensure the highest levels of housekeeping and sanitation is maintained daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 2 -3 years of supervision/management experience in a food manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Able to lead a team to achieve results.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and troubleshooting instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks.
