Job description

Salary Range - This position pays Minimum Wage $16.90/hour plus tips. The Food runner is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. The role is also responsible for delivering food items to guests and ensuring order is accurate and timely.
Essential Functions
  • Must adhere to the company's Service culture - 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
  • Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
  • Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Coordinating food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each guest.
  • Ensuring proper food safety and sanitation standards to ensure guest safety.
  • Delivers food from kitchen to the appropriate guest table.
  • Checks supplies in the serving areas and restock accordingly to ensure sufficient supply.
  • Remember a large amount of orders and to deliver them in a timely manner, and work well with servers, cooks and other leaders.
  • Having full knowledge of the table numbers in the venue, seating positions, menu items, and ingredients.
  • Check, maintain and control inventory of food items.
  • Put away food stock and dry goods according to established standards.
  • Keep all work areas clean and properly stocked according to the current meal period.
  • Assist servers by delivering and refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, and promptly resolving any guest requests.
  • Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side-work checklist.
  • Answer the phone in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Assist fellow employees as needed throughout the shift.
  • Provide service to guests in waiter's absence as needed.
  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications
  • In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required.

Working Conditions and Schedule
  • Long hours sometimes required.
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 15 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
