Job description

Description:

This position is for a food runner to help facilitate customer food orders and ensure customers are satisfied with their meals. The Food Runner is primarily responsible for ensuring the appearance and food quality standards are maintained before leaving the kitchen with the food, and that the order is correct and complete prior to transporting food from the kitchen to the appropriate tables and guest position. The Food Runner also ensures members and guests have all the appropriate tableware and condiments they need to properly enjoy their food. Communicate with servers regarding guest requests for drink refills or food orders. Performs other duties as assigned.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Taking out food in a timely manner and correctly reading tickets and numbers to give out food.
  • Taking directions from supervisory/ lead staff to promptly get food to the correct ticket.
  • Cleaning area around you throughout the shift. Restocking low stock items, putting away food.


Requirements:
  • At least one (1) year of restaurant experience preferred
  • Food Handlerโ€™s Card
  • Demonstrate speed and efficiency in performing assigned tasks
  • Must be able to follow directions easily and work accurately
  • Have strong customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful situations
  • Physical ability and stamina to carry trays weighing up to 35 lbs. and stand for long hours
