Job description

A leading global company in the dairy industry, with presence in the Concord area, is looking to add a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to their growing team!

Job Title: Lab. Technician

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 7 am-4 pm, some saturday availability required
  • Note: Must be flexible to cover other shifts (5 am or 7 am start) as needed.

Pay rate: $19- $20/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological and chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, and environmental swabs - prepare samples for internal and external analysis.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, databases, and certificates of analysis while ensuring compliance with SOPs, GLP, HACCP, GMP, CFIA, and SQF standards.
  • Communicate test results, non-conformances, and quality issues to supervisors and stakeholders, and support corrective actions.
  • Participate in audits, prepare quality KPIs, and assist in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment, monitor supplies, and provide backup QA/technician coverage as required (including weekends).

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of lab testing experience (microbiological and chemical) in food manufacturing
  • One year in the dairy, food, or related industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Dairy Technology, Science, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP, and quality systems.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
