Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for quality? If you're experienced in IPC standards, solder inspection, and ensuring electronic assemblies meet the highest industry requirements, PDS Tech Commercial has an exciting opportunity for you.

We're partnering with a leader in the aviation and aerospace industry to hire an Inspector for a 12-month full-time consultant assignment in Clearwater, Florida. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of electronic assemblies that support cutting-edge aerospace technologies.

Position Details
  • Job Title: Inspector

  • Duration: 12-Month Consultant Assignment

  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 4/10 Work Schedule | 2nd Shift

  • Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour paid weekly

What You'll DoQuality Inspection & Verification
  • Perform detailed visual inspections of solder connections and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies.

  • Verify compliance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 requirements.

  • Evaluate assemblies against industry standards and manufacturing specifications.

  • Determine accept/reject criteria using IPC guidelines.

Technical Review
  • Read and interpret:

    • Engineering drawings

    • Schematics and diagrams

    • Parts lists

    • Revision-controlled documentation

    • Inspection instructions and checklists

  • Ensure assemblies conform to documented requirements.

Measurement & Documentation
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment, including:

    • Dial indicators

    • Preset micrometers

    • Scales

    • Other inspection tools

  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection records.

  • Report defects and nonconformances clearly and professionally.

Collaboration
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.

  • Communicate quality concerns effectively across all levels of operations.

Required QualificationsExperience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience visually inspecting solder connections on:

    • Surface mount components

    • Plated through-hole components

  • Experience performing conformal coating inspections.

  • Hands-on experience working to:

    • IPC-A-610 standards

    • IPC-J-STD-001 standards

Important: IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 experience must be clearly reflected on your resume.

Technical Skills
  • Strong visual inspection skills.

  • Ability to navigate IPC standards and determine accept/reject criteria.
