Topre America is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Inspector to support our FGE Quality Team. This position will support quality operations at both the Topre Springfield facility and the Honda East Liberty Plant.


The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying product quality, performing inspections, supporting containment activities, completing rework as needed, and communicating quality concerns to Topre leadership. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a customer-focused manufacturing environment.


This position includes mileage/fuel reimbursement and a daily food per diem for travel to the East Liberty Honda facility.

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector supports Topre America quality requirements by performing product inspections, production process audits, containment activities, and rework operations. This position ensures products meet customer and company standards while identifying and communicating quality concerns quickly and accurately.


The successful candidate will understand quality documentation, inspection standards, control plans, and reaction plans while working closely with Quality Engineers and management.

Essential Responsibilities


Quality Inspection & Verification

  • Verify product quality within assigned production areas.
  • Perform production process audits using established check sheets.
  • Identify defective conditions in:
    • Stamping parts
    • Sub-assemblies
    • Components
    • Finished products
  • Perform inspections using measurement equipment including:
    • Scales
    • Taper Gauges
    • Digital and Manual Calipers
    • Digital and Manual Micrometers
    • Height Gauges
    • Other inspection devices
  • Complete verification and sign-off activities related to change point notices.
  • Review and understand quality documentation, including:
    • Control Plans
    • Inspection Standards
    • Quality Procedures
    • Logs
    • Work Instructions

Containment & Rework Support

  • Assist with containment of suspect material or product.
  • Perform sorting activities and explain sort/rework requirements.
  • Complete rework activities as assigned.
  • Ensure completed work meets Topre and customer quality standards.
  • Document inspection results and communicate findings to Quality Engineering and Management.

Customer Plant Support

  • Travel daily to the Honda East Liberty Plant as required.
  • Perform quality verification activities within customer production areas.
  • Complete tasks assigned by Honda and Topre leadership.
  • Provide daily feedback regarding findings, concerns, and quality issues.
  • Work at the Topre Springfield facility as needed to fulfill scheduled hours or support overtime requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous Quality experience preferred.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous Quality, Manufacturing, Inspection, or related experience preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • Daily travel to Honda East Liberty Plant may be required.
  • Mileage/fuel reimbursement and daily food per diem provided.
  • Additional travel may be required for training or customer concerns.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand and walk throughout the work shift.
  • Use hands to handle and inspect parts.
  • Reach, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive tasks.
