Job description

Join a leading frozen food importer, wholesaler, and distributor in the Midwest with over 20 years in business. Based in the South County of St Louis, MO, this role involves delivering mostly frozen seafood on flexible local and/or regional routes spanning up to 500 miles, so you can design a schedule that suits your lifestyle.


In addition, we are also looking for warehouse forklift drivers who can work in a freezer warehouse environment.


Responsibilities

  • Drive Class A or B heavy-duty refrigerated box trucks with air brake systems
  • Unload freight at delivery points using a pull-out ramp and two-wheel dolly
  • Manage 12 to 20 stops and deliver 6,000 to 12,000 lbs of frozen foods daily
  • Conduct DOT pre-trip inspections and cooperate with roadside inspections
  • Adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) requirements and safety regulations
  • Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
  • Both part-time and full-time drivers are needed. Plan and execute flexible routes with local, same-day, regional multi-day, and overnight delivery options
  • Ensure safe operation of the vehicle and adherence to delivery schedule


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or B CDL license and preferably a clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • Minimum 1 year of heavy box truck driving experience with no major violations in the past 3 years
  • Air brake endorsement required
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 60 lbs
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Pass DOT physical, alcohol, drug tests, and criminal background check
  • For full-time driver, ability to stay away from home at least one to two nights per week
  • Willingness to work some weekend days or holidays whenever required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in delivery of food, beverage, dairy, or similar products
  • Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
  • Familiarity with operation and maintenance of air brake systems
