Job Summary

Summary
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department including providing cafeteria services, catering and ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of nutrition services while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

Essential Functions
-Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Nutrition and Food Services department, including meal preparation, meal assembly, and meal delivery to patients and cafeteria customers.
-Ensure the timely and accurate production of meals, adhering to established recipes and portion control standards.
-Maintain adherence to food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in food preparation and service areas.
-Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
-Recruit, train, and supervise food service staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about food safety protocols, patient diet orders, and customer service.
-Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
-Assist in developing and managing the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising food quality and safety.
-Ensure staff are trained in safe food handling practices and provided with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety resources.
