 Job Summary:

The Outside Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for delivering exceptional service to members and guests, ensuring a positive dining experience that promotes satisfaction and member retention. This role involves coordinating with various club departments to manage the setup, food preparation, organization, sanitation, and service of food and beverage items in outdoor areas, such as the snack bar, pool, or other outdoor food & beverage outlets. Additionally, the job will oversee the financial performance of the snack bar, monitor inventory, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the overall appearance of the operation meets Club standards. This position also involves closing duties and ensuring the proper storage of all items at the end of the shift. 

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to the Director of Food & Beverage/Restaurants or Restaurant/Banquet Manager

Day to Day:

  • Maintain Invited’s high service standards as outlined in the F&B service training program.

  • Ensure outside food & beverage staff follow club procedures and uphold the club standards.

  • Train and oversee outside food & beverage staff in daily operations, ensuring consistency in service and adherence to quality expectations.

  • Oversee the setup, daily prep, and organization of the snack bar.

  • Ensure proper preparation and storage of all food and beverage items, adhering to Invited’s quality standards, including proper product rotation, sanitation, and cleanliness.

  • Ensure consistent presentation of snack bar items, produced to meet Invited's quality standard guidelines.

  • Accurately execute member and guest orders and requests in a timely manner.

  • Greet members by name and provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

  • Collect payments or club membership cards for all transactions.

  • Oversee the proper financial closing of the snack bar daily, including cleaning duties.

  • Communicate with Food & Beverage Director regarding special product needs, or any issues with food quality or presentation.

  • Ensure the snack bar and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized daily.

  • Provide a warm welcome by greeting members and guests by name and ensuring their needs are met throughout the event.

  • Ensure all side work is completed, including maintaining clean and organized work areas, refilling and stocking containers and supplies, and ensuring sanitary conditions as outlined in the service standards.

  • Interact professionally with members and guests, accommodating changes and last-minute requests as needed.

  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Additional Duties:

  • Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.

  • Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.

  • Represent the company's management team by supporting and enforcing policies while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.

  • Promote and follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.

  • Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.

  • Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.

  • Support the overall efficiency of the team by collaborating and contributing to the club’s goals.

About You:

Preferred 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior experience in food & beverage service.

  • Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certifications in compliance with state and city regulations.

  • Completion of food & beverage service training.

  • Strong communication skills with clear, articulate speech and the ability to follow instructions effectively.

  • Completion of all food & beverage online training modules: Service Training, Host Training,

Bartender Training, Server Assistant Training, Banquet Server Training, Beverage Cart Attendant Training, Kitchen, Employee Training, F&B Refresh Training, Culinary Safety, Food Safety, and Alcohol Safety.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.

  • Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required.

  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.

  • Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.

Work Schedule:

  • Attendance requirements for this position as outlined on the weekly schedule.

  • Additional hours are required to meet deadlines of the position, including weekends and/or holidays.
