Key Responsibilities:
As a Batchmaker, you'll play a critical role in producing high-quality food products by accurately preparing and mixing ingredients while ensuring food safety and production standards are met. Your responsibilities may include:
- Performing all phases of the mixing operation, including measuring, weighing, and preparing ingredients
- Reading and interpreting batch tickets to ensure accurate production
- Making adjustments to water and yeast levels based on temperature and humidity
- Operating mixers, conveyors, and robotic equipment safely and efficiently
- Completing batch tickets for lot tracking and product traceability
- Monitoring dough quality and making necessary process adjustments
- Performing sanitation and cleaning of mixing equipment
- Assisting with training new Batchmakers on procedures and best practices
- Supporting other production areas as directed by the supervisor
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or industrial mixing
- Ability to read and understand batch tickets and production instructions
- Comfortable lifting 20-50 lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to climb step ladders and work safely around production equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working around machinery, strong food aromas, and airborne ingredient dust
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
