3x12's, rotating days of the week, varied shifts. Call may be required based on department needs.
Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory therapy procedures as per protocol and physician orders to enhance the cardiopulmonary health of patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. The primary focus is on critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to initiate or modify plans of care under provider protocols.
  • Deliver respiratory care to patients, making clinical decisions based on their medical conditions.
  • Document patient records and department logs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements relevant to respiratory care and their clinical applications.
  • Ensure a positive patient experience through effective communication and empathy during care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • 2+ years of acute care Respiratory Therapy experience.
  • Licenses: RRT, Nevada State License, and must apply for State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license.
  • Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS required prior to start.
