High Focus Counseling, LLC is actively looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in providing exceptional mental health care to individuals affected by trauma. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at High Focus Counseling, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and tailoring appropriate treatment approaches.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental well-being.
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to clients.
  • Leading individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and advance their healing journey.
  • Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to client care.
  • Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, equipping them with essential tools for recovery.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities focused on trauma-informed care.
  • Staying updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be crucial in guiding these clients through their recovery journey, using trauma-informed strategies that recognize and validate their unique experiences. This position requires a deep understanding and sensitivity to the challenges and needs specific to trauma survivors.

Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Nevada.
  • Strong knowledge base of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Proficiency in the delivery of trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client care.
  • Solid organizational skills, with the ability to remain composed in high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with common computer applications.
  • Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience

While candidates with a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience are preferred, we welcome all qualified applicants who exhibit a strong passion for trauma-informed care and a commitment to professional growth.
