High Focus Counseling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in Las Vegas, Nevada. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that explore patients' trauma histories, identifying suitable treatment pathways.
  • Design, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans tailored to enhance trauma recovery and resilience among clients.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process traumatic experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and promote emotional and psychological healing.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to deliver integrated support to clients, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping patients with tools to manage acute distress.
  • Educate clients and their families about the impact of trauma, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster understanding and engagement in treatment.
  • Ensure all records are meticulously maintained, compliant with legal and ethical standards, and reflect ongoing patient progress.
  • Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions focused on evolving trauma-informed practices.
  • Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance the efficacy of therapeutic interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including PTSD and complex trauma syndromes. By addressing their unique psychological experiences, you will assist clients in navigating their mental health challenges, ultimately promoting healing and resilience. Youโ€™ll play an essential part in transforming their lives, enabling them to regain control and move forward positively.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Evidence of experience in delivering trauma-focused therapy interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and professionalism during high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework.
Preferred Experience

Prior experience working with diverse populations, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and those with unique trauma histories, is highly valued. Familiarity with various psychotherapy techniques and ongoing commitment to professional growth and development will help enhance your effectiveness in this role.
