Position Summary
Our Client is seeking a highly experienced Construction Executive - Division 8 to lead and oversee operations, project execution, and strategic growth within the doors, frames, and hardware division. This individual will play a critical leadership role, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while driving profitability and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership over all Division 8 operations, including project management, estimating, and field execution
  • Oversee multiple large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Drive business development efforts, maintaining and expanding relationships with general contractors, developers, and key clients
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Estimators, and field teams
  • Ensure projects meet financial targets, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Collaborate with preconstruction teams on bidding strategies, pricing, and scope development
  • Implement and maintain best practices for scheduling, procurement, and installation processes
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
  • Resolve high-level project challenges, including contract issues, delays, and client concerns
  • Work closely with executive leadership on strategic planning and growth initiatives
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong focus on Division 8 (doors, frames, and hardware)
  • Proven leadership experience managing large teams and complex project portfolios
  • Strong knowledge of Division 8 products, installation methods, and industry standards
  • Experience working with general contractors and large commercial projects (healthcare, education, multifamily, etc.)
  • Proficiency in construction management and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, OST, Comsense or similar)
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience scaling or leading a Division 8 business unit
  • Established relationships within the Florida construction market
