Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Revenue Cycle, this position plays a crucial role to ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide customer service support to the Business Office staff
• Answer phones and convey accurate and detailed messages for follow up
• Greet visitors and make them feel welcome
• Answer general questions regarding resident accounts
• Data entry for cash posting and charge entry
• Receive payment and organize the weekly bank deposit
• Prepare and process many types of forms and spreadsheets for use by the business office and other staff
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized office environment
• Scan and file documents and upload them into specialized software and Share Point.
• Provide back-up and cross-training to other associates
• Attend and actively participate in trainings and meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Professional office experience required.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Work, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams required.
• Experience in working with specialized software preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as CMS regulations, Managed Care contracts and other instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before administrators, residents, or employees.
• 1 year administrative and clerical experience preferred.
