Description
Oneida Professional Services is seeking a Systems Administrator / Network Analyst to support the Defense Information School (DINFOS) Technology & Logistics Support Services contract at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of enterprise server and network environments supporting DINFOS academic, administrative, and operational missions.
The successful candidate will support Windows-based server infrastructure, network operations, cybersecurity compliance efforts, and enterprise technology initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise in systems administration, network support, operating system deployment, and secure infrastructure management within a complex enterprise environment.
*This position is contingent on the award of a federal contract.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and support Windows server environments and associated enterprise infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure reliable operations.
  • Support network infrastructure implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex server, workstation, network, and application issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, group policies, and system access controls.
  • Develop, deploy, maintain, and update operating system images and workstation configurations.
  • Implement and maintain approved security configurations and hardening standards in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations (COOP) initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and technical support organizations to research products and resolve technical issues.
  • Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements and modernization efforts.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, procedures, and configuration records.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, security baselines, and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, service desk technicians, and government stakeholders to support mission requirements

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience supporting Windows server environments and enterprise IT infrastructure. Additional experience, education, or training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Extensive experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server operating systems and enterprise services.
  • Experience supporting network infrastructure implementation, testing, and operational support.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across systems, networks, and applications.
  • Knowledge of network backup, disaster recovery, and continuity planning concepts.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining security configurations in accordance with DISA STIG requirements.
  • Experience developing and deploying operating system images and workstation configurations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise technologies such as Cisco, Citrix, GlobalProtect, and related infrastructure platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Azure Administrator, or equivalent Microsoft certification.
  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, Server+, or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, military, federal government, or educational organizations.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management platforms, patch management systems, and enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation technologies such as PowerShell.

Security Requirements
  • Active Secret Clearance preferred.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to successfully complete all background investigation requirements associated with a Tier 3 (Non-Critical Sensitive) position.
  • Foundational qualification for applicable DoD 8140 work roles is highly desirable.
