HR Generalist
Premier Restoration Hawaii
Oahu | Full-Time | Exempt
Be the HR partner that keeps our business moving.
At Premier Restoration Hawaii, we restore homes, businesses, and communities after fire, water, mold, and storm damage. Our work moves fast because our customers need us when they're having one of the worst days of their lives.
We're looking for an experienced HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys getting work done. This isn't a desk job where you'll only process paperwork. You'll recruit great people, onboard new hires, support leaders through employee relations issues, conduct workplace investigations, administer leaves of absence, and help ensure our HR operations run smoothly every day.
If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and making an immediate impact, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Every day is different, but you'll be responsible for:
  • Recruiting top talent for positions across Premier Restoration Hawaii
  • Coordinating onboarding and facilitating new hire orientation
  • Managing employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, TDI, ADA accommodations, and return-to-work processes
  • Conducting workplace investigations and supporting employee relations matters
  • Providing day-to-day HR guidance and support to employees and managers
  • Processing employee changes, maintaining HR records, and ensuring compliance
  • Supporting benefits administration, audits, and HR projects
  • Partnering with operational leaders to keep HR moving and employees supported

What We're Looking For
We're less concerned with job titles and more interested in how you work.
You'll be successful in this role if you are:
  • A self-starter who follows through without constant direction
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Responsive, dependable, and action-oriented
  • Comfortable having difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
  • Able to exercise good judgment and recognize when issues need to be escalated
  • Detail-oriented while keeping the bigger picture in mind
  • Passionate about providing excellent service to both employees and leaders

Qualifications
Required
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience with recruiting and onboarding
  • Experience administering leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, TDI, etc.)
  • Experience handling employee relations matters and workplace investigations
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification
  • Experience supporting construction, restoration, field operations, or multi-site businesses

Why Premier?
At Premier Restoration Hawaii, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing local business while working alongside leaders who value partnership, accountability, and continuous improvement. If you're looking for a role where you can make decisions, solve problems, and see the results of your work every day, we'd love to hear from you.
