The HR Generalist serves as a key HR partner supporting a large onsite operations workforce by delivering day-to-day human resources support and ensuring the successful execution of HR programs and initiatives. This role works closely with managers and employees to address employee relations matters, leave administration, performance management, onboarding, and policy guidance while fostering a positive and compliant work environment.
 
This is a fully onsite position, requiring a strong presence on the operations floor to support leaders and employees directly. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred to effectively support and engage with our large Spanish-speaking employee population.

Job Responsibilities
  • Resolve general employee relations issues; provide direction and recommendations to all levels of leadership; ensure fairness and consistency of policy and practice.
  • Assist with tracking and administering the recognition program.
  • Provide data and information as needed for investigations in partnership with HR Managers.
  • Coordinate all leave of absence cases to include general administration, comprehensive case management, and compliance with all related policies and employment laws.
  • Review dashboard metrics daily to optimize efficiency and ensure work is completed in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as the need arises; audit SharePoint site to ensure information is current and accessible.
  • Lead and coordinate the Annual Performance Review process for front-line associates in partnership with management.
  • Assist with hiring, on-boarding, and training new associates.
  • Connect with a third-party administrator for workers’ compensation, FMLA, and Short-Term Disability and leave.

Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish. 
  • 1.5 years of experience in employee relations or related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to influence others on policies, practices, and procedures
  • Effective at capturing and synthesizing information from multiple parties
  • Solid understanding of employment laws
  • Ability to handle sensitive and highly personal information daily and maintain confidentiality in a mature and insightful manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with case management technology preferred
