FMC Corporation is a global leader in agricultural sciences, driven by our purpose: Innovation for Agriculture. Solutions for the Planet. We are passionate about the power of science to solve agriculture's biggest challenges. With one of the most productive and diversified pipelines in the industry, FMC is delivering cutting-edge and next-generation crop protection technologies - including Dodhylex active, Isoflex active, rimisoxafen, and fluindapyr - to help farmers increase the productivity and resilience of their land. The Precision Agriculture team at FMC is building a portfolio of new applications and services. As the NA Commercial Manager, you will develop the go-to-market strategy for our applications. This responsibility will include identifying markets, crops, and products (NPIs) for expansion; working with country/subregional and technical teams to prioritize plans across geographies; developing pilot programs for those markets; preparing for commercial launch; and managing products post-launch.

ResponsibilitiesPrecision Agriculture

  • Execute positioning activities for platforms that require technical knowledge and/or have significant scope, including large accounts, collective activities, and business events. Align these activities with Product/Culture Marketing, Regional Marketing, and Commercial teams.

  • Execute tool research confirmation areas, product demonstrations, and technical events to support the positioning of digital platforms.

  • Guide and train commercial teams, including Sales and Marketing, on the positioning of digital platforms.

  • Build relationships with influencers in the region to leverage sales and brand image and ensure portfolio participation in their recommendations.

  • Generate competitive intelligence for R&D, Marketing, and Commercial teams regarding differentiation of the FMC portfolio versus competitors, based on information obtained from local agronomist consultants.

  • When working with large end customers, technically influence the customer decision-making process.

  • Support and promote crop-specific Marketing and Communication campaigns with channel partners and growers.

  • Align with local and regional leadership and commercial teams on action plans to expand into different customers across the region.

  • Align plans with Global and Regional Precision Ag guidelines and Product/Crop Marketing, including local GTM budget alignment.

  • Execute platform and product positioning activities, particularly those requiring strong technical knowledge and relationships with influencers, including researchers, consultants, technicians, large accounts, technically focused customers, business activities, events, lectures, and training.

  • Apply and deploy digital platforms while training commercial teams and providing technical support and evidence from the platforms to drive stronger customer engagement.

  • Monitor the technical performance of the Arc platform, including visiting areas as needed to verify technical performance.

  • Define and execute an influencer action plan for the assigned region, including influencer mapping and activities such as training, product testing, and events.

  • Continuously revisit the positioning of the digital platform portfolio to better position FMC products by evaluating technical performance under different conditions, including region, crop, and customer, and covering areas such as application methods for pest and disease control and seed treatment.

  • Align execution and provide weekly and crop-closing reports to Marketing, Product, and Cultivation Managers on portfolio performance within the assigned territory.

  • Execute market development activities during pre-launches to support the relevant launch plan.

  • Ensure execution of communication materials and sales support in line with Marketing guidelines and approved messaging.

  • Ensure the quality of technical activities with key producers in the region.

  • Prospect, analyze, register, and engage with influencers through regular visits and interactions.

  • Know, respect, and implement the activity plan in accordance with strategic guidelines related to market access, Commercial, Marketing, and other relevant functions to support regional development.

  • Communicate and guide internal customers, including Commercial, Sales, and Marketing, as well as external customers, on the features and capabilities of the tools, particularly Arc farm intelligence.

  • Support testing of new automated tools and provide guidance for their effective commercialization across different territories.

  • Perform other tasks related to the position as needed or at the discretion of your supervisor.

  • Support the development of Marketing campaigns for digital tools by providing technical data and local content and engaging the commercial team in promoting these campaigns in the market.

Competencies
  • Strong focus on FMC's digital tools portfolio together with key synthetic and biological products.

  • High level of technical knowledge of the portfolio and strong ability to articulate the value and positioning of the Arc platform, including both pesticide knowledge and broader crop and farm management.

  • Strong knowledge of Marketing concepts and the ability to apply them together with technical expertise to position the FMC portfolio through daily activities, analysis, and regional planning.

  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different decision-makers, including customers, influencers, consultants, and internal FMC teams.
