FIFO workers often face challenges such as extended periods away from family, adjusting to shift work, and adapting to remote living conditions. Managing these challenges typically involves maintaining regular communication with loved ones, establishing healthy routines for sleep and exercise, and taking advantage of on-site support services. Many employers offer resources like counseling, social activities, and wellness programs to help FIFO employees maintain their well-being and build a sense of community while on-site.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Fly In Fly Out jobs in industries like oil and gas, mining, or construction can pay around $4,000 per week for skilled roles such as heavy equipment operators, technicians, or supervisors, often requiring specialized training or certifications but not necessarily a college degree. These positions typically involve working on remote sites with long shifts and high pay due to the demanding environment and skill requirements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) worker, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) worker, you need practical trade or technical skills relevant to your sector (such as mining, construction, or oil and gas), often backed by industry-recognized certifications or licenses. Familiarity with safety protocols, site-specific machinery, and digital reporting systems is typically required. Strong resilience, adaptability, and teamwork are vital soft skills for coping with remote locations and rostered work schedules. These skills and qualities help ensure safety, productivity, and well-being in demanding and isolated work environments.

Job description

WANTED: Entertaining and opinionated sports media personality to host Chiefs Report (77,000 subscribers - https://www.youtube.com/@ChiefsTV) and cover the NFL on a full-time basis from Chat Sports HQ in Dallas, TX.
Chat Sports has continued to rapidly grow to become a leading sports media brand on YouTube. What started with just 3 shows in 2019 has exploded into 51 shows and 50 million+ monthly viewers. Our mission is simple: inform and entertain by delivering unfiltered, high-energy content for the most passionate fans in sports. If you apply, please familiarize yourself with our shows on YouTube that can be found here.
We're gearing up for an epic 2026 NFL season and looking to hire an On-Air Host for one of our strongest team-focused shows: Chiefs Report. You'll be the face on YouTube breaking down every game, free agency chaos, draft steals, and locker-room drama - delivering multiple videos per day that keep subscribers glued and notifications exploding. In addition to this show, you'll work with the rest of our NFL team on league and draft related programming.
This isn't some sleepy desk job. You'll be in our brand-new, 11,000 sq ft downtown Dallas HQ working in one of our 16 production studios cranking out videos that rack up millions of views. We're all-in on live energy, late nights, weekends, and turning football Sundays into content goldmines.
**** Location: This is in-office only at our Dallas, TX HQ. Weekend and evening hours are non-negotiable during the NFL season. We'll fly in out-of-towners for auditions, but no relocation package is offered. ****
The role:
- Own the camera as the host and star of Chiefs Report. You'll bring insane energy, sharp insight, and that "can't-look-away" presence that turns casual scrollers into die-hard subs
- Team with your producer to brainstorm killer scripts, graphics, and segments that make every show feel electric and binge-worthy
- Film multiple videos per day (live, on-demand, and social/shorts): breakdowns, reactions, bold predictions, debates, and whatever wild storylines the offseason and free agency drama throws at you
You're the perfect fit if:
- You're a walking NFL encyclopedia: current rosters, historical deep cuts, offseason madness (free agency frenzy, draft war rooms, cuts, trades...you name it)
- You've already hosted podcasts, YouTube, radio, or TV - comfortable riffing live, no teleprompter crutch, with charisma that pops off the screen- You have legit, consistent social media skills - building buzz, engaging fans, and owning your voice in the Chiefs Kingdom
- Chiefs red and gold runs through your veins (or at least you can embrace it convincingly while staying brutally honest)
- You're a self-starter who thrives under pressure, grinds weekends/evenings (especially Sept-Feb), and brings positive, relentless energy every single shift
- Highly organized, reliable, and ready to level up in a fast-moving, no-excuses environment
What you get:
- Be at the forefront of redefining sports media - grow huge channels, shape narratives, and turn fan passion into your career
- Competitive salary + full benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k, generous PTO)
- Daily team lunches on us - because nobody creates top sports content on an empty stomach
- A group of co-workers that celebrates big wins, big takes, and big personalities in a high-energy, collaborative HQ
Submit your resume and a killer cover letter (tell us why you're a no-brainer for this role), plus:
- Links to your best on-camera or podcast work
- Links to your social media accounts
Apply right here in this post. Expect multiple audition rounds where you'll prove you can host, produce ideas, and inform & entertain.
