Job description

Job Summary

The Welder at Screen Machine Industries LLC is responsible for accurately and efficiently performing welding operations to fabricate metal components according to specifications. The position requires proficiency in various welding techniques, adherence to safety protocols, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship. The Welder will collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure that all work meets production standards and deadlines.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform welding operations using MIG, or other welding methods as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to carry out welding tasks accurately.
  • Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning and positioning materials appropriately.
  • Inspect welded components for quality, strength, and conformity to specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Collaborate with production team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of welding safety practices and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks.
  • Willingness to work extended shifts or overtime as needed.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
