• Conduct thorough client evaluations to assess mental health needs and establish accurate diagnoses.
• Develop individualized and evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the unique circumstances of each client.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, adapting your approach to fit the client’s preferences and goals.
• Implement effective behavioral therapy methods and monitor client progress through regular check-ins and updates.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, following all licensing regulations and clinic policies.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training sessions, and peer consultations to improve therapy techniques and outcomes.

This position primarily serves a diverse client base from various backgrounds, including children, families, and individuals facing a range of mental health challenges. Many clients may experience anxiety, depression, trauma, or other emotional difficulties. As a Mental Health Counselor, your role will involve building strong, trust-based relationships, ensuring clients feel safe and understood throughout their therapeutic journey. Fostering a supportive environment will empower clients to work through their challenges effectively.

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Current licensure as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health counseling role.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding to enhance client engagement.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in trauma-informed care approaches.
• Background in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive client management.
• Additional training in specific therapeutic modalities, such as play therapy, art therapy, or family systems therapy.
