Position Summary

Echo NDE is currently seeking an Eddy Current Analyst to support upcoming turnaround projects.

Responsibilities
  • Review, analyze, and interpret Eddy Current inspection data in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Evaluate inspection data to identify, characterize, and assess relevant indications and potential defects.
  • Analyze and interpret complex Eddy Current signals and data using applicable software and analysis techniques.
  • Review data for quality, completeness, and accuracy, identifying areas requiring further examination or additional data collection.
  • Apply appropriate acceptance criteria and technical requirements when evaluating inspection results.
  • Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports, data summaries, and technical documentation.
  • Document and communicate inspection findings, including the location, type, and significance of relevant indications.
  • Work closely with Eddy Current Technicians and project personnel to clarify inspection data and resolve technical concerns.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field personnel regarding data acquisition and inspection requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection data, analysis results, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all analysis activities are completed in accordance with company, client, and applicable regulatory quality requirements.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of inspection techniques, procedures, and analysis processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of client data and inspection records.
  • Adhere to all company and client safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • CGSB Eddy Current Testing (ET2) certification or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Previous experience analyzing and interpreting Eddy Current inspection data in an industrial or NDT environment.
  • Strong understanding of Eddy Current Testing principles, techniques, equipment, and data analysis methods.
  • Experience with Eddy Current data acquisition and analysis software is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex inspection data and make sound technical assessments in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly communicate technical findings.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with field technicians, supervisors, and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and support turnaround and inspection projects throughout Alberta.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and varying schedules as required by project demands.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Fly-In/Fly-Out opportunities are available for candidates willing to travel.
