Job description

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The main object and purpose of this position consist in installing and ensuring service of cryogenic vessels and gaseous high pressure installations in order to satisfy customer expectations, all while promoting ALC's quality and safety objectives. The incumbent is also considered the Facility Manager as per IMS.

Pay rate - $39.89 / hour

Ensures maintenance and service functions: Inspects, dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, assembles, installs and maintains cryogenic vessels, Floxal membrane systems, gaseous high pressure installations at customer and plant locations. Fills out Bulk installation report at customer site. Replaces components such as solenoids, relays or fuses in motors or electrical circuits. Reads schematic drawings and tests circuits with instruments.

Installs or repairs equipment: Performs brazing on pressure piping to make connections and repair leaks. Fabricates platforms, frames and various types of cylinders and pipes brackets.

Quality / Safety: Isolates equipment for outsiders and plant personnel. Actively promotes ALC's safety and quality objectives. Maintains a clean work area as well as any other area, which may be assigned. Maintains required level of inventory and spare parts in truck. Knows and respects all procedures as indicated in the ALC Quality Manual. Makes sure the appropriate corrective and preventive measures are in place in order to answer customer complaints.

Process improvement: Works with his/her team as well as with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the work process. Examines and searches for causes of failure or improper operations of parts and equipment. Plans and determines the best methods and materials required to perform proper and economical repair to restore equipment operation.

Installing and ensuring service of cryogenic vessels and gaseous high pressure installations in order to satisfy customer expectations while promoting ALC's quality and safety objectives.

Familiar with: cryogenic tank experience, compressed gas regulating experience, used to working with tools, familiar with ABSA regulations - Pressure Release Device, replacement frequencies mechanically inclined, problem solving - comfortable with lockout/tagout.

Ensures an emergency service: Must be available for some on call.

  • Gas Ticket with minimum 3 years experience OR

  • Refrigeration ticket with minimum 3 years experience OR

  • Instrumentation qualification with minimum 3 years experience

  • Valid MB Brazing certification would be preferred (can be sponsored by the company)

  • Valid MB Driver's license

  • Very Mechanically Inclined

  • Action and client oriented, self-confident, adaptable and tolerate stressful situations.

  • Able to work remotely under minimal supervision.
